Commercial Consignments |

|
Commercial invoices should include the following: selling price; charges for transportation and insurance, number of the import licence, marks, serial numbers, quantity and kind of packages, measures of outer packing, exact description of goods, gross and net weight; country of origin, composition of weave in case of textiles. One copy to be marked: "for customs and for audit purposes". |

Two certificates of origin must be included if the goods are from the British Commonwealth. |

Import licence (granted to registered importers only) are required for most goods. Authorization should be obtained from the controller of imports and exports. |

The Inner casket must be zinc or lead lined and hermetically sealed. |

Prior permission should be obtained from the SriLankan Airlines Security & Investigations Division for SriLankan Airlines traffic only (Sita code - CMBGZUL). |

A death certificate in English stating the cause of death is required. (An original death certificate is accepted if an English translation is affixed). |
