SriLankan Cargo is a stand-alone entity, coming under the overall management of SriLankan Airlines Limited. We have a modern airbus fleet of Feet A340-300:6 ,A330-200 :5 and A320-200:6 aircraft.

SriLankan Cargo has greatly enhanced its operations as the airline rapidly expands its fleet, frequencies and the number of destinations; covering a network of 38 destinations in 25 countries in Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Middle East, Far East and South East Asia.

Our regional freighter service coupled with our scheduled services is making Colombo the most efficient gateway to the large South Indian market. The Colombo Airport (Bandaranaike International Airport), the home base of SriLankan Cargo, is being transformed into a major Cargo Hub in the South Asian region. Strategically located mid-way between Europe and the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, it moves over 150,000 metric tonnes of cargo per annum while further growth is expected.  

SriLankan Cargo provides handling for all 25 airlines which operate through Colombo; last year the Cargo Centre handled over 155,000 metric tonnes of cargo.

Our advanced automated cargo tracking system, www.srilankanskychain.aero ensures efficient handling operations and tracks each shipment from the point of reservation through to final delivery.  We handle special cargo including livestock, perishables, valuables and dangerous goods and provide customers with the fastest service in delivery and collection and have set up express channels for urgent and courier consignments.
